Weber talks about bureaucracy

our constant need for administration 

and practicality 

well we trade it in with empathy

and we never look our actions in the eyes

we become paralysed 

never talk about how we feel unless its written on a form 

unless we can mark it 1 to 10 

but what’s it for?

Just feels like we de-sensitise to each other

and the struggles that hide behind those doors. 

We are desperate to turn away

from the things that we have done 

recognise it as a deviation

from an otherwise path of progression

but we have become so efficient

that it can happen in silence

we don’t think about blood shed 

when we go to sleep at night cause

it’s never on our hands

and it’s always in our absence

Our bureaucratic lifestyles lead to

alienation

and I 

don’t want our shared oppression to be the only thing

that we’re together in 

The commodification of the body didn’t die in 1945

and the man who rose to power in 1933

don’t forget him, but also remember to recognise 

that this shit is still happening 

in front of your eyes

this shit is still happening

they just don’t want you to realise.
